What is one of the most rewarding aspects of your job?
Seeing our members flourish! Our community thrives when our members succeed, and that is very rewarding.
What is the best compliment you’ve ever been given by a customer at work and what did you do to deserve it?
I take pride in offering a high level of customer service that is often recognized by our members. For example, members have commented to me several times of how they appreciate me following up with their questions.
Describe your favorite memory from your time working in the tourism/hospitality industry?
The opportunity to promote our destination in other markets…such as NASCAR! I was the official starter for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 NASCAR Xfinity race at Kentucky Motor Speedway.
What do you think makes someone’s visit to the Myrtle Beach area memorable?
Our beaches and the endless things to see and do. We could not ask for a better place to visit, live and grow. It’s all about creating memories with family.
How do you think the tourism/hospitality industry benefits the community you live in?
As a native of the area and someone who lives inland away from the coast, it is easy to see the tourism impacts in my community from roads, education and jobs
What is one thing you’d like to share about yourself or your experience working in the Myrtle Beach area tourism industry with your customers/guests?
Prior to working for the chamber, I worked for a local company called QTI Laundry. QTI Laundry serviced the laundry equipment for area hotels/motels. This was my first introduction into the tourism industry
